When everything seems crazy in the world I find peace by creating and by surrounding myself with nature. Since the shutdown due to the virus I have found myself with more time and instead of worrying I have decided to dig into projects that I have been wanting to work on. The first project is building my Herbal Apothecary.
I have decided to grow my own herbal garden this spring. I am starting indoors with seeds as the weather has been so unpredictable. I am starting with sage, chamomile, lemon balm, calendula, feverfew and and dandelion.
I have gathered supplies that I will be using which includes a mortar and pestle, mason jars, cheesecloth, amber bottles and droppers, a double boiler and funnels. I also have on hand grapeseed and apricot oil and jojoba oil.
My plan is by summers end to have a full apothecary set up in my home so I have herbal remedies on hand whenever needed.
I will keep you updated and post photos as my apothecary grows. I will give you tips and tricks as well as what did not work for me. I am excited to share this journey with you.
Blessed Be
Lori
